### Can my SUV tow a Texas Teardrop?

Most likely! Our teardrops weigh under 1,500 lbs, which puts them within the tow rating of most SUVs and crossovers. We'll confirm your vehicle qualifies when you book. (Or simply check the tow rating for your vehicle.)

### What do I need to tow a teardrop?

A vehicle with a 2-inch ball hitch and a 7-pin trailer wiring connector. If you don't already have a hitch, most auto shops can install one quickly and inexpensively before your trip. It's usually not necessary to have trailer brakes, however we can provide a bluetooth trailer brake connector if you would like.

### Do I need towing experience?

No, teardrops are beginner-friendly trailers because they’re small and light. We do a full in-person walkthrough before every rental. Most first-timers feel comfortable within the first few miles. (Please still drive carefully!)

### How do I hitch and unhitch the trailer?

We walk you through it in person before you leave the lot. It's simpler than it looks, and you can always call or text us if you forget a step.

### Where do I pick up the trailer?

We’re located in Mansfield, Texas, with easy access from around the metroplex. The pick up location is about 25 minutes from downtown Fort Worth and 35 minutes from Dallas. Exact address provided at booking.

### Do you deliver?

Teardrops are easy to tow so most people prefer to drive themselves. But if you don't have a tow vehicle or would rather not tow, we can deliver for an extra fee.

### How far in advance should I book?

Weekends book fast, especially spring and fall. We recommend at least 2-3 weeks out for weekend trips and further ahead for holidays and peak season.

### What is the minimum rental period?

Three nights minimum. Long enough to actually unwind.

### What is your cancellation policy?

If you cancel more than 14 days before pickup, you'll get a full refund. If you cancel less than 14 days before pickup, we'll refund 50% of the rental cost. No refunds for no-shows or early returns.

### Is there a security deposit?

Yes. A $1,000 security deposit is required at booking and fully refunded when the teardrop is returned in the same condition you received it.

### Do I need special insurance to rent?

You'll need short-term rental insurance for the days you're out. It's easy to get and typically inexpensive for daily rates. We'll send you everything you need when you book.

### Is there air conditioning and heating?

Yes. The teardrops have A/C for Texas summers and a furnace for cooler nights. Cause comfortable camping year-round is the whole point.

### What items do you provide with the trailer?

Everything except your clothes and food. Bedding, kitchen cookware and supplies, propane, a filled water tank, a cooler fridge, camp chairs, fairy lights, a side table, and more. Show up and start your trip.

### What should I bring?

Clothes, food, and anything personal you want. You may want to bring your own pillow. That's really it. We handle everything else.

### What power options are available?

The teardrops connect to shore power at any developed campground, which is required to run the A/C. There's also an onboard battery for the lights, vent fan, and cooler fridge if you're boondocking—but remember, batteries die. We recommend a site with hookups for the most convenience.

### Do teardrops have a bathroom?

Teardrops don't have built-in bathrooms, but that's actually one of the things that makes them so easy. There's no gray water to dump or smelly wafts in the cabin. If you camp at any developed campground you'll have access to restrooms and showers. Don't worry about the complicated RV stuff.

### Are your teardrops pet friendly?

Yes, well-behaved pets are welcome. Just let us know when you book.

### Where can I take the teardrop?

Anywhere in the U.S. No mileage limits, just book enough days for your trip. Hill Country, the Gulf Coast, the Rockies… your adventure, your choice!

### What campgrounds do you recommend near DFW?

We have a list of our favorite spots within a tank of gas from DFW. Check it out here!

### What if I have more than two people?

Each teardrop sleeps two comfortably. We have multiple in our fleet so booking together is an option for extra friends and couples. Bringing kids? Throw a tent in the mix for extra sleeping space!

### Is roadside assistance included?

Your insurance may not provide roadside assistance. But depending on your location and the issues you experience, we'll help in any way we can.

### What happens if something breaks during my trip?

Send us a message and we'll help you figure out a solution or replacement. Minor stuff happens, but we won't leave you stranded. Please use your judgement to stay safe and avoid damage to you or the equipment.

### What is the return process?

Bring your teardrop back to the pickup location during the drop-off window on the day of checkout. We'll do a quick walkthrough together and get your deposit back to you promptly.
